“Rock Art – Humanity’s Earliest Works of Art”

On 26 June 2026, the Abilkhan Kasteyev Art Gallery in Zharkent hosted the opening of an exhibition organized by the Tanbaly State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve.

The exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to explore the unique heritage of the Tanbaly petroglyphs, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and to gain a deeper understanding of the history and significance of ancient rock art.
