Excavations at the Kogaly I Site: Archaeological Expedition of the Tanbaly Museum-Reserve

Starting from May 19, the Tanbaly Museum-Reserve has been conducting archaeological excavations at the Kogaly I site in the Kogaly valley as part of the continuation of its 2024 historical-archaeological expedition. The goal of the excavations is to study settlements from the Turkic period.

Scientific research in the Kogaly valley, located near the Tanbaly complex, not only offers a new perspective on the region but also contributes to the potential expansion of the museum-reserve's nomination on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
