Opening of the “Tanbaly: Code of Ancestors” International Exhibition

The opening of the international exhibition “Tanbaly: Code of Ancestors,” organized by the Tanbaly State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve, took place at the A. Kasteev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition is a joint project of the Tanbaly Museum-Reserve and photographer Vladislav Kim. The exposition aims to present the Tanbaly petroglyphs in a new light through contemporary art and digital technologies. The main principle of the project is to preserve authenticity and protect the originals.

The opening was attended by UNESCO regional representatives in Almaty, leading foreign experts in rock art research, heads of World Heritage sites, as well as local archaeologists, historians, ethnologists, cultural experts, museum professionals, representatives of educational institutions, and business communities.
