Every year, the Tanbaly State Historical, Cultural, and Natural Museum-Reserve remains the only institution in the Republic that systematically conducts monitoring of the condition of petroglyphs and their surrounding archaeological landscape. The monitoring includes a comprehensive assessment of the preservation level of archaeological sites, the state of the natural environment, the degree of anthropogenic impact, and various factors affecting the integrity of the rock images.

On November 29, 2025, the Tanbaly State Historical, Cultural, and Natural Museum-Reserve hosted an extended meeting with the participation of specialists in the field of national heritage protection. During the meeting, the participants discussed the directions of conservation and restoration work planned for 2026–2028.
