Opening of the Exhibition “Sulaiman-Too – a World Heritage Site”

On April 21, 2026, at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, within the framework of the International Conference “XVIII Orazbayev Readings,” the exhibition “Sulaiman-Too – a World Heritage Site” was officially opened.
The exhibition was organized based on a memorandum of mutual cooperation between the “Taңбалы” State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve and the National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex “Sulaiman-Too” of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The exhibition comprehensively explores the phenomenon of the formation of the sacred mountain, its historical role along the Great Silk Road, and its significance in the religious and spiritual worldview of the peoples of the region.
A special section of the exhibition is dedicated to the archaeological complexes of Sulaiman-Too Mountain and the Taңбалы petroglyphs. These sites highlight the cultural unity of Central Asia and reflect shared cosmological and worldview concepts of ancient civilizations.
The organizers emphasized the conceptual and structural features of the exhibition, noting its foundation on the integration of traditional scientific knowledge with modern technological solutions. The exhibition features 3D models, digital maps, QR codes, and interactive audio guides, visually demonstrating the evolution of mountain complexes across historical periods.
This approach makes the exhibition accessible to a wide audience and enables a deeper exploration of cultural heritage in a modern format.
