Kórisu Day Celebrated

On the occasion of March 14 — Amal Day, the staff of the “Tanbaly” State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve and the Uмбетали Karibaev Literary-Memorial Museum celebrated Kórisu Day at the Suyinbay Aronuly Literary-Memorial Museum with the aim of promoting the tradition of kórisu.
This day is special, as people celebrate safely getting through the long winter, meet each other, and exchange greetings and well wishes.
During the event, participants followed ancient Kazakh traditions by greeting each other with both hands, receiving blessings from elders, and expressing kind wishes. In addition, excerpts from the works of Suyinbay Aronuly were read, and traditional terme and kuy performances were presented.
Kórisu Day is a unique tradition of our people that promotes unity and harmony, respect for elders, and kindness toward the younger generation. Such educational events are aimed at promoting national heritage and strengthening intergenerational continuity.
