Specialists of the “Tanbaly” Museum-Reserve Completed a Professional Exchange Visit to Gobustan, Azerbaijan

From December 8 to 12, 2025, specialists of the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve “Tanbaly” — A. Orashova and D. Myrzabay — carried out a professional exchange visit within the framework of a memorandum of mutual cooperation with the Gobustan Historical and Artistic Museum-Reserve of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the specialists became acquainted with Gobustan’s best practices in the preservation, research, and presentation of UNESCO World Heritage sites. They studied methods of collection storage and cataloguing, documentation of petroglyphs, as well as approaches to organizing guided tours and developing tourist routes.
As part of the business trip, the specialists of the “Tanbaly” Museum-Reserve also visited the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where issues of cultural cooperation were discussed.
This visit contributed to strengthening professional ties between the two countries and opened new opportunities for improving the research and exhibition activities of the “Tanbaly” Museum-Reserve.
