XVIII International Conference “Orazbayev Readings – 2026” Has Begun

The XVIII International Scientific and Methodological Conference “Orazbayev Readings – 2026” has officially begun.

The conference platform has brought together more than 100 scholars and researchers from the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, France, and other countries.

At the invitation of the “Taңбалы” State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve, delegations from the Gobustan State Historical and Artistic Reserve and the Sulaiman-Too National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex participated in the event.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by museum directors — Vugar Isayev, Mederbek Aparhanov, and the Director of the “Taңбалы” Museum-Reserve, Bibigul Dandygaraeva.

???? During the conference, participants discuss:
▫️ Key issues in the history of Central Asia
▫️ Digitalization of historical data
▫️ New trends in archaeology and ethnology
▫️ Modern approaches to teaching national history

The program includes topics such as rock art, the Stone Age, medieval archaeology, and the Paleometal era. Scholars are presenting the results of their research.

Conference participants also visited the exhibition “Sulaiman-Too – a World Heritage Site,” organized by the “Taңбалы” Museum-Reserve.

Additionally, the exhibition “Eternal Heritage Carried by the Winds of the Steppe: The Scientific Path of Abdimanap Orazbayev” is presented, and a scientific and educational excursion to the Taңбалы archaeological site is planned.

The conference will continue until April 26.
