Scientific Seminar on Documentation of Cultural Heritage Objects Held at the Tanbaly Museum-Reserve

On December 23, 2025, a scientific seminar entitled “Documentation of Cultural Heritage Objects” was held at the State Historical, Cultural, and Natural Museum-Reserve Tanbaly. The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss the importance of documentation in the study, preservation, and protection of historical and cultural heritage sites, as well as to exchange modern methods and best practices in this field.

The event was attended by staff members of the Almaty Regional Center for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage. During the seminar, participants discussed issues related to the registration of cultural heritage objects, the preparation of scientific and technical documentation, photo and video recording, digitization, and the use of geographic information systems (GIS).

In addition, presentations were delivered on documentation standards in the context of international experience and the requirements of national legislation.
