On November 7, 2024, in honor of the 120th anniversary of Alkey Margulan, within the framework of the organization of the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve "Tanbaly", the exhibition "Alkey Margulan and the ancient heritage of Kazakhstan: A scientific study of Tanbaly" was opened at the historical and cultural center "Atameken". The exhibition will continue until November 12 this year. The exhibition presents bronze products, clay vessels, stones processed for household needs, as well as finds obtained during the international historical and archaeological expedition this year, including coins of the VII-VIII centuries, ancient Turkic weapons and knives. A round table was organized within the framework of the exhibition, which was attended by Candidate of Historical Sciences, Deputy Director General for Science of the Alkey Margulan Institute of Archaeology A. D. Kasenov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Head of the Department of Archaeology of the Early Iron Age of the Alkey Margulan Institute of Archaeology J. R. Utebayev, Professor of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology and Museology of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi T. E. Kartayeva, Director of the Center for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Almaty T. A. Ablaev, museum managers, historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, museum specialists and students.
